What are the verified Screenmobile pros and cons?
Screenmobile’s clearest verified advantage is a defined mobile operating package backed by 80 hours of initial training and a required 13-week Fast Start program. Its clearest burden is performance-linked territory protection: after month 36, $375,000 in annual Gross Revenue is required, while royalty minimums continue regardless of sales. These 2026 FDD trade-offs are conditional, not a buy-or-reject recommendation.
Screenmobile Franchising SPE LLC issued the U.S. Franchise Disclosure Document on April 28, 2026. The offer is one Territory per Franchise Agreement; the Approved Location may be a home office or approved commercial office, and additional Territories use separate Franchise Agreements. This review uses Items 1, 3–8, 10–12, 15–17 and 19–22, the Franchise Agreement, financing documents and Renewal Addendum. Item 19 covers 2025 operations; Item 20 covers 2023–2025. Checked July 27, 2026.

Public pages provide context but do not amend the Franchise Agreement.
Which Screenmobile features may help, and where do they constrain?
The material differences are not a count of “good” and “bad” points. Each feature changes the result for a different buyer profile: field-service operators, manager-led owners, buyers dependent on financing, and buyers who prioritize local control face different consequences.
Mobile workshop launch assets
The 2026 FDD requires a $47,000 Start-Up Package and at least two qualifying vehicles; most franchisees operate from vehicles and homes rather than a required storefront.
A mobile workshop can reduce dependence on a leased retail site and support on-site fabrication.
The package excludes some equipment, vehicle storage still matters, and the franchisor does not finance the Start-Up Package.
Screen School and required Fast Start
Initial training generally lasts 10 in-person days with 40 classroom and 40 on-the-job hours; Fast Start then requires weekly support calls for up to 13 weeks.
Technical production, administration and launch coaching are defined before and immediately after opening.
Attendance, satisfactory completion, California travel costs and required follow-up create time and scheduling demands.
Protected Territory tied to revenue performance
A typical Territory contains about 150,000 Households and is protected while the franchisee complies, including annual Gross Revenue thresholds rising to $375,000 after month 36.
Conditional protection limits another Screenmobile Franchised Business from servicing the defined zip-code area.
Reserved channels, Key Accounts, open-territory withdrawal and missed thresholds can narrow or end protection.
Royalty floor and marketing commitments
Royalty is 7% of Gross Revenue, subject from month four to minimums rising from $450 to $2,188 monthly; local marketing is 4%, plus a 2% Brand Fund contribution.
The structure funds system branding, local demand generation, website management and ongoing franchisor services.
Minimum royalty exposure applies at low sales, and Brand Fund spending need not match a Territory’s contribution.
Approved suppliers, Jobber and Customer Data
Screenmobile requires Jobber and a $100 monthly Technology Fee, estimates 80%–100% of operating purchases use approved suppliers, and treats Customer Data as franchisor property.
Common systems can standardize scheduling, reporting, procurement and brand controls across Territories.
Vendor concentration, adjustable technology charges, affiliate rebates and franchisor data ownership reduce switching and sourcing discretion.
Manager-led ownership with personal exposure
A trained Key Person may be a non-owner, but owners holding at least 5% must personally guarantee Franchise Agreement obligations; replacement approval is time-limited.
Manager-led ownership is contractually possible when an approved, trained Key Person runs day-to-day operations.
Personal guarantees, spouse acknowledgments and replacement deadlines preserve substantial owner-level exposure and oversight.
Item 19 breadth and limits
Tables 1–3 cover 130 full-year 2025 Territories; the expense survey covers 105 Territories held by 72 franchisees and excludes owner compensation, interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
Quartiles, medians, customer counts and expense ranges provide more context than a single system average.
Territory sizes vary; 14 operating-year Territories were excluded, and the $483,885 average exceeded the $289,429 median.
What does the Screenmobile outlet record show?
The network ended 2025 with 138 operating franchised Territories, four more than year-end 2024 but seven fewer than year-end 2023. The sequence shows contraction followed by a partial recovery; it does not establish franchisee satisfaction or unit-level success.
Operating franchised Territories at year-end
Exact year-end counts from Item 20, Table 1; each Territory has a separate Franchise Agreement.
Interpretation: 2025 added 10 Territories and recorded two terminations and four non-renewals. Five transfers changed ownership but did not themselves reduce the outlet count. Source: 2026 Screenmobile FDD, Item 20, Tables 1–3, pp. 66–71.
Openings, transfers, terminations and non-renewals describe different events. A transfer may reflect succession, liquidity, strategy or distress; a non-renewal may be voluntary or involuntary. The FDD lists current and former franchisees for validation, and it also discloses confidentiality provisions that may limit some franchisees’ ability to discuss agreement details.
How much of the 2025 operating population appears in the revenue tables?
Tables 1–3 include 130 Territories that operated for the full 2025 fiscal year. Fourteen other Territories active during some part of 2025 were excluded: eight opened during the year and six ceased operating during the year.
Item 19 full-year coverage
The denominator is 144 Territories operating during at least part of 2025: 130 included and 14 excluded.
Interpretation: the full-year revenue tables have broad operating-year coverage, but they intentionally omit startup-year and cessation-year results. Source: 2026 Screenmobile FDD, Item 19, p. 61.
The $483,885 average Gross Revenue is not a typical-outcome guarantee: the median was $289,429, only 31% of included Territories met or exceeded the overall average, and legacy Territory sizes ranged from 50,000 to 275,000 Households. The expense survey’s 68% median by franchisee excludes owner compensation and several financing and accounting items, so it should not be converted into owner earnings.
What does the agreement mean for renewal, transfer and exit?
The Franchise Agreement creates a long operating horizon but not an unrestricted exit. Renewal, transfer and post-term competition each require separate analysis, and state-specific addenda can change the general summary.
Screenmobile contract path
These are contractual checkpoints, not a valuation or risk score.

Screenmobile may permit financing of up to 75% of the Franchise Fee and Additional Household Fee for eligible transactions, but the note carries 12% annual interest, a security interest in franchise assets and cross-default consequences. This can preserve cash at signing while linking financing default to Franchise Agreement default. The $47,000 Start-Up Package and other launch costs are outside that franchisor financing.
Who may align with the Screenmobile model, and who may face friction?
Fit depends on operating behavior rather than enthusiasm for the brand. The model favors buyers who can manage field production, local demand generation, prescribed systems and a performance-conditioned Territory while maintaining enough liquidity for vehicles, inventory and early operating expenses.
What should be verified before signing?
The highest-value questions are those that convert systemwide disclosures into Territory-specific facts and confirm which obligations are current on the signing date. They should also separate fixed contract terms from operational policies that Screenmobile may change.
- Territory economics: What exact zip codes, Household count, income and housing mix define the proposed Territory, and which channels, Key Accounts or existing rights are reserved?
- Performance enforcement: How many franchisees entered a revenue improvement program, lost Territory area or received termination notices for Minimum Performance Requirements during 2023–2025?
- Item 19 comparability: Which full-year Territories most closely match the proposed Territory’s Household count, climate, product mix, staffing model, age and number of vehicles?
- Current fee stack: Confirm the current Jobber price, Technology Fee, website fee, Brand Fund rate, local marketing documentation, minimum royalty schedule and any Call Center requirement.
- Supplier dependence: Obtain the current approved-vendor list, mandatory purchase categories, rebate disclosures, lead times, warranty allocation and procedure for proposing an alternative vendor.
- Validation and exit: Contact current and former franchisees from Exhibits F and G about workload, vehicle utilization, seasonality, transfers and renewal; ask counsel to apply the State-Specific Addenda to the noncompetition, forum and release provisions.
How should the Screenmobile trade-offs be read together?
Screenmobile’s strongest verified support feature is the 80-hour Screen School plus required Fast Start, applied to a mobile workshop model that can operate without a mandatory storefront. The most material burden is the combination of rising minimum royalties and performance-conditioned Territory rights. A hands-on or manager-led buyer with field-service discipline, working capital and tolerance for prescribed systems may align. A passive or autonomy-seeking buyer may face friction. Before signing, verify the exact Territory map, Household count and current revenue-improvement consequences.
