How does HealthSource Chiropractic operate after opening?

Direct answer

A HealthSource Chiropractic Clinic acquires patients through local and brand-controlled channels, delivers approved chiropractic, rehabilitation, wellness, and retail offerings through licensed staff, and records scheduling, billing, payment, and follow-up in required systems. The franchisee operates the unit; HealthSource Chiropractic, LLC controls System Standards, approved inputs, marketing, territory, and data access.

Data basis: HealthSource Chiropractic, LLC; U.S. FDD issued April 8, 2026; Start-Up Clinic, Conversion Clinic, and applicable Clinic Management Business structures. Offering and demand

What does the Clinic sell, and who buys it?

The Clinic combines chiropractic adjustments with soft-tissue rehabilitation, functional restoration, wellness care, and related products. Official franchise materials identify seven launch offerings: Chiropractic Care, Progressive Rehab® + Functional Exercise, Laser Therapy, Spinal Decompression, Precision Nutrition, Sleep Optimization, and the Wellness Club. The Clinic must offer designated goods and services and may sell only approved offerings.

Customers are patients seeking care for pain, injuries, mobility limits, or wellness needs. The official consumer site routes visitors to a local Clinic, and the appointment form captures patient status, location, date, and time preferences. Actual services vary with professional judgment, licensing, equipment, and approved programs.

Which operating paths use the same Clinic model?

Start-Up Clinic Licensed professionals at the new Clinic. A new site adopts current System Standards, approved suppliers, equipment, and HSWorx.
Conversion Clinic Licensed professionals in the converted practice. An existing practice converts to the Marks and System and must go live on HSWorx on schedule.
Clinic Management Business A Licensed Provider owns or operates the clinical practice and controls Clinical Services. The franchisee is the Management Company and handles permitted administrative functions under an approved agreement.
Development Agreement Determined separately for each Clinic. It schedules at least two Clinics; each unit operates under its own Franchise Agreement.

Clinic Management Business split

The Management Company may acquire premises and equipment, manage inquiries and scheduling, hire administrative staff, administer payroll, support billing and collections, keep books, and manage approved marketing.

The Licensed Provider performs Clinical Services, maintains licenses and Patient Records, approves healthcare advertising compliance, and controls diagnosis, treatment, clinical equipment use, and professional referrals.

Owner participation

The model is not contractually described as absentee. Item 15 requires active participation by the franchisee or an approved principal owner, officer, director, or employee unless an on-site General Manager is approved. The FDD does not disclose headcount, staffing ratios, shifts, or labor hours.

Evidence: 2026 FDD, Item 15; Franchise Agreement Sections 4.1, 10.7, and 19; Exhibit M; official training and support.

Operating dependencies

Which systems, suppliers, and inputs are mandatory?

The Operations Manual specifies the premises, x-ray equipment, Computer System, fixtures, signage, inventory, marketing materials, insurance, training, and supplies. The franchisee must use approved or designated sources for controlled categories; HealthSource Chiropractic may approve a single supplier, change specifications, re-inspect suppliers, or revoke approval.

HSWorx and HealthCore Technology

HSWorx is the required customer-management, accounting, billing, and payment platform unless replaced. Schedule A includes Practice Management, Billing, EHR, Check-in, Appointment Reminders, Therapy Log, and Waystar integration. HealthSource Chiropractic has unlimited access to Computer System data.

Paychex, Inc.

Franchisees must enroll in designated Paychex payroll, payroll-tax, human-resources, benefits, hiring, and onboarding services. Additional services are optional; the franchisee retains employment and personnel responsibility.

Web, cybersecurity, and email

The Clinic must use contracted website, hosting, search-engine-optimization, cybersecurity, and related services, maintain at least two assigned email boxes, and provide high-speed internet for specified remote access.

Approved clinical and retail inputs

Approved categories include clinical equipment, rehabilitation supplies, payments, supplements, pillows, and marketing. Named suppliers include Pivotal Health Solutions, WBC Group, Pillowise USA, Fortis Payment Systems, and Xpress Docs; approvals may change.

Technology requirement

The franchisee acquires, maintains, secures, and upgrades the Computer System. HealthSource Chiropractic may change specifications without a contractual frequency or cost limit, and designated components must function within 60 days after notice.

Evidence: 2026 FDD, Items 8 and 11; Franchise Agreement Section 3.4; HealthCore Schedule A. Public description: HealthCORE support.

Decision rights

What does the franchisor control, and what remains with the franchisee?

HealthSource Chiropractic, LLC controls the branded method, required offerings, approved inputs, data access, marketing approval, premises standards, hours framework, and compliance review. The franchisee controls daily execution and bears unit responsibility; licensed professionals control clinical judgment.

Franchisee responsibilities

Hire, schedule, supervise, compensate, and terminate Clinic personnel.
Maintain premises, equipment, insurance, records, and legal compliance.
Execute local marketing with approved materials and channels.
Set final prices, subject to lawful franchisor limits.
Make security, staffing, and daily opening or closing decisions within prescribed hours.

Franchisor controls

Issue and modify the Operations Manual and System Standards.
Approve sites, plans, lease terms, equipment, products, suppliers, and advertising.
Require HSWorx, Paychex, web, cybersecurity, email, and replacement systems.
Prescribe hours and mandatory training, including the annual conference.
Inspect without notice, interview people, record calls, copy records, and audit reports.

Licensed and third-party dependencies

Licensed practitioners decide diagnoses, treatment plans, Clinical Services, and referrals.
A Licensed Provider is required for a Clinic Management Business.
HealthCore Technology supplies HSWorx and integrations.
Approved suppliers provide designated equipment, inventory, services, and payment tools.
Licensing, privacy, billing, advertising, and corporate-practice rules constrain workflow.

The strongest control is the combination of mutable System Standards and data access. The franchisee must monitor Operations Manual updates, install designated technology, report, and correct deficiencies. The Franchise Agreement states that HealthSource Chiropractic does not own Patient Records, control clinical hiring or firing, or direct treatment plans.

Evidence: 2026 FDD, Items 8, 11, 15, and 16; Franchise Agreement Sections 5.2, 10.4, 12, 13, and 19; official privacy policy.

Territory and channels

Does the Protected Territory prevent other Clinics from reaching local patients?

Only partly. After site approval, the Franchise Agreement grants an exclusive Protected Territory typically based on 30,000 to 45,000 people. While the franchisee is compliant, HealthSource Chiropractic and its affiliates will not place another branded Clinic inside that area.

Protection is location-based, not ownership of patients or digital leads. A Clinic may market outside its area through internet, email, social media, telemarketing, and direct marketing; other Clinics may reach people inside it without compensation. A franchisee may not discount pricing to attract residents of another Clinic’s Protected Territory.

Territory limit

A Site Selection Area carries no territorial rights. The Protected Territory is fixed after site approval. Outside-area fulfillment and relocation require approval, while the franchisor reserves alternative-brand and alternative-distribution rights.

Evidence: 2026 FDD, Item 12, pp. 45–47; Franchise Agreement Section 2.3.

System footprint

What does Item 20 show about the operating network?

Item 20 reports an entirely franchised U.S. outlet base at each year-end. Franchised outlets were 130 in 2023, 132 in 2024, and 128 in 2025; company-owned outlets remained zero.

Year-end U.S. outlet composition
HealthSource Chiropractic Item 20, December 31 of each year
0 35 70 105 140 130 0 2023 132 0 2024 128 0 2025
Franchised outlets Company-owned outlets

Interpretation: the operating network relies on independently owned Clinics rather than a parallel company-owned unit base, and the year-end franchised count was four lower in 2025 than in 2024.

Source: 2026 FDD, Item 20, Table 1, pp. 72–73. Values reconcile to total year-end outlets: 130 in 2023, 132 in 2024, and 128 in 2025.

Buyer verification

Which operating questions remain material but undisclosed?

The FDD does not disclose standard headcount, role-by-role payroll, fixed weekly schedules, appointment duration, patient capacity, exact lead allocation, or Clinic-level mix among the seven launch offerings. Verify these by format, state, and site.

Which official pages clarify the operating model?

Operating synthesis

What is the central operating conclusion?

The customer mechanism is a local treatment-plan relationship supported by approved therapies, products, and follow-up visits. The franchisee must staff and execute a compliant Clinic workflow while maintaining marketing, records, equipment, and administration.

The strongest dependency is HealthSource Chiropractic, LLC’s control of System Standards, suppliers, technology, data access, advertising, and inspections. Those controls do not replace licensed professional judgment, especially in a Clinic Management Business. The largest unresolved question is the site- and state-specific staffing and service configuration in the current Operations Manual.
