Operating model in one view

A Global Recruiters Network franchise operates a permanent-placement recruiting business for full-time roles. The franchisee develops employer clients, sources and qualifies candidates, manages placements, and follows receivables; Global Recruiters Network, Inc. supplies the GRN System, centralized invoicing and collection, required technology, operating standards, and support, while affiliates control key software and accounting inputs.

Data basis: Global Recruiters Network, Inc. is the legal franchisor. The controlling disclosure reviewed is the U.S. 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document issued April 25, 2026, covering the GRN Business permanent-placement model and a Business Location that may be residential or commercial. Evidence comes from Items 1, 6, 8, 11, 12, 15, 16, 19 and 20, the Franchise Agreement and Exhibit J; Item 20 runs through December 31, 2025. Checked August 8, 2026: the GRN franchise website and Global Recruiters consumer website. No franchise-controlled public 2026 FDD URL was verified, so FDD citations are unlinked.

Offering and demand

What does a Global Recruiters Network unit sell, and who buys it?

The GRN Business sells permanent-placement services for full-time roles. Employer clients buy the service; candidates and applicants are sourced, screened, interviewed and referred. The 2026 FDD prohibits a GRN Business from operating a temporary-placement business or selling services outside the GRN System without authorization.

GRN describes management, technical, professional and executive search. Its client-facing permanent-placement page says the search narrows to profiles matching company needs after learning the client’s background and culture. The official talent page positions a GRN Search Consultant as the candidate-facing operator who keeps a search moving.

How demand enters

The franchisee may solicit clients and applicants anywhere, including through internet channels, approved local advertising, individual e-mail, approved multi-address campaigns, job boards and other methods that comply with GRN standards. No customer geography is reserved to one GRN Business.

How network work enters

The GRN Exchange Program is mandatory. A placement can involve two GRN Businesses; the placement fee is typically split equally, subject to GRN Exchange rules and its dispute process. This creates a network fulfillment path in addition to a single-office placement.

FDD basis: 2026 Global Recruiters Network FDD, Item 1 pp. 1–2, Item 11 pp. 16–25, Item 12 p. 25, Item 16 p. 29; Agreement §§7.05, 8.02, 8.04 and 8.08.
Transaction flow

How does work move from a client need to collected placement revenue?

The operating cycle is sales-led and information-led. A franchisee converts an employer need into a search assignment, uses the GRN System to develop and qualify candidate inventory, manages the placement, initiates billing in CAPSX Software®, and then works the receivable while GRN centralizes invoice issuance, collection and remittance.

People and responsibility

Who performs the work after opening?

The Franchise Agreement requires personal participation in direct operation unless Global Recruiters Network permits otherwise in writing. The franchisee may add search consultants, search assistants and researchers, while retaining authority over hiring, pay, assignments and discipline.

  • Qualify, screen, match, refer and manage placements.

  • YGI, Inc. is the designated supplier of certain accounting and tax services.
  • Approved databases, job boards, banks and other vendors support sourcing, communication and payments.
  • Another GRN Business may participate in a split placement through GRN Exchange.
Owner participation

Item 15 and Franchise Agreement §8.05 require the franchisee to participate personally in direct operation and devote the time and best efforts necessary for effective operation. The 2026 FDD does not call the model absentee or semi-absentee and sets no minimum headcount.

FDD basis: Item 15 pp. 28–29; Agreement §§8.05–8.06. The official GRN services overview identifies management, technical, professional and executive search as the corporate-facing service scope.
Technology and inputs

Which systems and suppliers are mandatory?

The core operating dependency is proprietary recruiting technology. BBDP, Inc., an RFB Holdings, Inc. affiliate, is the designated and only supplier/support provider for CAPSX Software®, GRN Exchange Software and related GRN Software Programs. YGI, Inc. is the designated and only supplier for certain accounting and tax services.

Recruiting platform
A single-user CAPSX Software® license includes GRN Exchange, GRN Chat, GRN Candidate Creator, GRN Data Loader, GRN Universal Importer, Outlook Integration and GRN Dashboard. The proprietary platform is required for the franchise term; multi-user use requires another license arrangement.
Data and access
CAPSX supports matching, daily planning, reports, third-party databases and shared GRN company/candidate data. GRN has administrative access to the software and data because the information is stored on franchisor-controlled servers.
Hardware and office tools
GRN provides a business computer, dual monitors, webcam, printers, headset and specified peripherals. The current franchise FAQ lists HP hardware, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, security software and video conferencing; the FDD permits changes.
Other sourcing
Outside the proprietary stack, GRN may designate or approve suppliers, test proposed suppliers and change specifications; otherwise the FDD allows sourcing freedom where no standard applies.
Technology requirement

GRN may require migration to a new systemwide software platform and may require new or revised proprietary software. The Franchise Agreement does not place a contractual limit on the frequency or cost of required software revisions or third-party updates, so the operating stack can change during the term.

FDD basis: Item 8 pp. 12–13, Item 11 pp. 16 and 23–25; Agreement §§5.04, 8.08–8.10; CAPSX Software® License Agreement. Current equipment and bundle descriptions are corroborated by the official GRN Bundle FAQ.
Control boundaries

What does the franchisor control, and what remains a franchisee decision?

GRN controls the GRN System, authorized services, proprietary technology, advertising, web presence, invoice issuance, reporting access and quality standards. The franchisee retains sales execution, employee management and—under current policy—client pricing, inside standards GRN may revise.

  • Operating areaFranchisor control or dependencyFranchisee decision space
  • Clients and territoryNo protected territory; GRN and other GRN Businesses may compete through other channels. The franchisee may solicit clients, candidates and applicants anywhere under GRN standards.
  • PricingGRN reserves the right, where lawful, to regulate prices, fees and rates. The 2026 FDD says GRN does not currently regulate pricing; Exhibit J gives the franchisee billing amount and timing.
  • Advertising and webGRN approves advertising and website changes, hosts the standardized site, controls domains and may monitor web activity. The franchisee funds/proposes local advertising and may send individual e-mail without advance approval.
  • PeoplePersonal direct participation is required; specified insiders must protect Confidential Information. The franchisee chooses employees, pay, benefits, schedules, assignments and discipline.
  • Hours and methodsThe Business must meet required days/hours and follow the GRN System, Recruiter’s Manual and Mandatory Modifications. The franchisee may add operating hours and chooses daily execution within required methods and standards.
  • Records and qualityGRN may inspect the Business Location, confer with employees/clients/candidates, audit records and require corrective changes. The franchisee keeps records and implements required corrections.
Territory limit

The 2026 FDD is explicit: rights are non-exclusive in all respects. A Business Location needs GRN acceptance and relocation approval, but there is no protected client base, service radius or internet channel. Older search results may still describe protected territories.

FDD basis: Item 11 pp. 20–23, Item 12 p. 25, Items 15–16 pp. 28–29; Agreement §§6.01–6.03, 7.09, 8.02–8.06, 8.13, 8.17–8.19, 10.01–10.03 and 11.01–11.02.

What does Item 20 show about the operating network?

Item 20 reports an entirely franchised U.S. outlet base. U.S. franchised outlets moved from 178 at December 31, 2023 to 179 at December 31, 2024, then to 158 at December 31, 2025. Company-owned outlets stayed at zero.

Interpretation: the U.S. franchised outlet count fell by 21 units from year-end 2024 to year-end 2025; Item 20 reports 26 U.S. terminations and five U.S. openings during 2025.

Source: 2026 Global Recruiters Network FDD, Item 20, Tables 3 and 4, pp. 36–42. Definitions are consistent across the three year-end observations shown.
Buyer verification

Which operating details remain undisclosed or should be rechecked?

The FDD does not disclose a standard mature-unit headcount, a fixed recruiting-role split, or the full current activity standards in the Recruiter’s Manual. Those gaps matter because the owner must participate directly while GRN may revise methods and reporting.

  • Current Recruiter’s Manual: verify the present minimum hours, required activity reports, operating metrics and any mandatory changes issued after April 25, 2026.
  • Staffing design: ask current GRN Business owners how work divides among the franchisee, search consultants, search assistants and researchers as the unit matures.
  • Technology scope: confirm current CAPSX Software® modules, AI/human sourcing, data access, backups, additional user licenses and third-party subscriptions.
  • 2025 outlet change: use Item 20 franchisee lists to investigate the operating reasons behind the 26 U.S. terminations reported for 2025.
