A Multivista franchise is a territory-based, business-to-business field service operation. The franchisee sells approved construction and existing-facilities documentation, deploys trained personnel to client sites, uploads captured content into required Multivista systems, invoices clients, and runs the local team while Multivista Systems LLC controls the methods, technology, suppliers, branding, territory rules, and quality standards.
The unit is not a walk-in retail location. A MULTIVISTA Business typically uses a small commercial office as its operating base, while sales and field teams serve construction sites and existing facilities inside the assigned Territory. The operating cycle combines local B2B selling, scheduled reality capture, centralized digital hosting, client access, and recurring reporting to the franchisor.

What does a Multivista franchise sell, and who buys it?
The franchisee sells approved construction and existing-facilities documentation and related technology-enabled services, using approved capture methods, to organizations involved in building, renovating, financing, insuring, designing, managing, or operating real property.
The 2026 FDD identifies developers and owners, contractors, project managers, facilities managers, engineers and architects, insurance companies, lenders, and other construction or facilities-management stakeholders as the core market. The official Multivista services catalog shows the current customer-facing portfolio across capture, modeling, and analysis services.
Capture services
Digital photography, 360 photo, video, webcams, UAV/drone capture, 3D images and 3D laser scanning document conditions and progress at client construction sites and existing facilities.
Create and process
Laser-scan data can feed Scan to Plan, Scan to BIM, Floor Flatness and other approved VDC services. Some of these outputs depend on designated or affiliate suppliers rather than local production alone.
Host and deliver
Hexagon Multivista Documentation Software, or Hexagon MDS, presents approved content through a password-protected web environment and mobile access. Multivista may continue hosting documentation after project completion.

How does work move from lead to delivered documentation?
The verified operating path is a controlled sales-to-field-to-cloud workflow: qualify an in-territory opportunity, set up the project, schedule certified field work, capture approved content, upload it under Multivista rules, give authorized users access, then invoice and report through required business systems.

Who runs the unit, and who performs each function?
The owner does not have to perform the full-time day-to-day job personally, but the business must have a full-time Principal Operator responsible for direct supervision of operations and sales. Field and commercial functions are performed by trained franchisee personnel, not by the franchisor's staff.
If the owner, managing partner or principal shareholder does not participate full time, the franchisee must designate a Principal Operator. The Principal Operator need not own equity, but must complete mandatory training and supervise the Business full time. That makes the model manager-run only with a qualified, full-time operator; the FDD does not describe an absentee operating model.
The FDD does not publish one systemwide headcount. Instead, the Minimum Staffing Requirements are written into Exhibit I to the individual Franchise Agreement. The franchisee chooses whom to hire and controls employment terms, but required positions must meet Multivista's staffing, training and certification rules; a departed required staff member generally must be replaced within 75 days.
Evidence: 2026 FDD Item 15, pp. 45-46; Franchise Agreement §§5.6, 6.1 and 10.1; official franchise training and support page.
Which systems and suppliers are mandatory?
Multivista tightly specifies the operating stack. The franchisee must use designated CRM, hosting, accounting, capture and communications systems, purchase or license many inputs from approved sources, and permit the franchisor electronic access to operational and financial data.
Salesforce CRM
Salesforce.com is the only approved CRM supplier. Required users have dedicated licenses; Multivista sets data-entry standards and may share specified client information with other franchisees.
Hexagon MDS
Multivista Systems LLC is the only approved supplier of the proprietary platform and hosting. Franchisees upload designated content at specified intervals and by specified methods.
Cloud-based QuickBooks
Intuit Inc. is the only approved supplier of the required cloud-based QuickBooks. Books, reports and chart-of-accounts structure must follow Multivista standards.
Capture and processing inputs
Approved or designated sources cover webcams, cellular services, UAV equipment/software, Leica RTC360, GoCapture, video processing, UAV map processing and BIM integration.
Multivista has no contractual limit on its access to data in required technology systems and may require hardware, software and communications upgrades on 30 days' notice. The Hosting Agreement also makes the franchisee responsible for client drawings, authorized uploads, backups, content security and compliance with applicable privacy and data-transfer laws.
Evidence: 2026 FDD Item 8, pp. 26-29; Item 11, pp. 36-37; Franchise Agreement §§13 and 15; Hosting Agreement §3.
What does the franchisor control, and what decisions remain local?
The franchisee controls day-to-day execution and employment decisions, but Multivista controls the permitted service set, operating standards, supplier approvals, technology, brand presentation, most territory exceptions, National Account rules, and quality-control access.
The Territory is contractually exclusive only while the franchisee remains compliant with the Franchise Agreement, Minimum Sales Requirement and Minimum Staffing Requirements, and it is subject to Multivista's reserved rights. Sales and service are generally limited to client sites and facilities inside the Territory. Out-of-territory work and outside-territory internet, social, telemarketing or direct-marketing sales require prior written consent.
National Accounts are a separate path. Multivista or its affiliates control the relationship and may offer an in-territory project to the local franchisee on centrally established terms. If the franchisee cannot or does not elect to serve it within five days, Multivista, an affiliate, designee or another franchisee may perform the work inside the Territory.
Evidence: 2026 FDD Item 12, pp. 40-42; Item 16, p. 47; Franchise Agreement §3.2; official franchise territories page.
What does Item 20 show about the operating network?
Item 20 shows a predominantly franchised network, but the disclosed population is systemwide rather than U.S.-only. Year-end franchised outlets rose from 68 to 69 between 2023 and 2024, then fell to 64 in 2025; company- and affiliate-owned outlets moved from 3 to 5 over the same period.
Item 20 systemwide outlet mix, year-end 2023-2025
Exact outlet counts from the 2026 FDD, Table 1. Company and Affiliate-Owned is kept as the FDD's combined category.
Interpretation: total systemwide outlets were 71 at year-end 2023, 73 at year-end 2024 and 69 at year-end 2025; the 2025 decline came from the franchised population while the company/affiliate-owned category increased by one.

Which operating details must be verified for the actual territory?
Several decisive operating variables are franchise-specific or changeable rather than fixed in the body of the FDD. A buyer should reconcile the actual Franchise Agreement exhibit, supplier list, current Operations Manual requirements and technology stack before treating any staffing or workflow assumption as final.
What is the practical operating takeaway?
Multivista sells approved construction and existing-facilities documentation to B2B clients, converting field capture into organized, hosted digital records and related deliverables. The franchisee's central responsibility is the local sales-and-operations organization: staffing, scheduling, capture, client support, invoicing, CRM discipline and financial records.
The strongest dependency is the franchisor-controlled stack of Licensed Methods, Operations Manual standards, Hexagon MDS, Salesforce requirements, supplier approvals, data access, inspections and territory rules. Territorial exclusivity is conditional and does not override National Account or reserved-channel rights. The largest undisclosed operating question is Exhibit I's territory-specific Minimum Staffing Requirements; the FDD provides role categories, not one universal headcount.
